Emily Grenesko-Stevens, MA, LMFT
Qualifications & Experience
I am a licensed therapist with more than two decades of experience in the field of psychology and mental health.
My professional path began in neuroimaging research in 2003, where I developed a strong foundation in understanding the brain, human behavior, and the scientific process. This experience continues to shape my approach to therapy, grounding my work in both research and evidence-based practice. In 2012, I transitioned fully into clinical work, drawn to the depth, complexity, and meaning of helping people create lasting change in their lives.
Throughout my career, I have worked across multiple levels of mental health care, including Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP), Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP), outpatient hospital settings, and private practice. This breadth of experience has allowed me to support individuals facing a wide range of challenges, from acute distress to longstanding patterns that may have been present for years.
Types of Therapy Offered
I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). I offer Internal Family Systems (IFS) as an alternative therapy. My approach integrates structure and skill-building with deeper insight-oriented work, tailored to each client’s needs.
